Dutch Champion - Pines Tipperary
By: Ann Travis

Beck started her point collection towards her Dutch Champion title at the Hovawart Club Netherlands Championship in September 2004 when she won Best Bitch from a bitch entry of over fifty.

Her next point was from the World Winners Show in Amsterdam 2005 when she won Reserve Best Bitch from Open Bitch.

Her final point was from her Best of Breed at the Joe Kat Championship Show held in Lelystad in June 2006. She is the first British bred Hovawart bitch to gain a Champion Title in any country.

As well as achieving Champion status in Holland she has gained in the UK Best of Breed at Crufts 2003 & 2005, Best in Show at the Hovawart Club of Great Britain’s Open Show in 2001 when it was held as part of the International Hovawart Federation Conference at Huntingdon., and again in 2004. She was one of the first Hovawart bitches to gain a Gold Good Citizen’s award & has produced two litters - the first litter to a UK resident dog - Schwarzwald Bailys’ Beads at Ewecote which produced Top Hovawart 2005* - Annvad Carefree Princess owned by myself. The second, born last summer to Dutch/German Ch Beko vd Bremmerstee, from which Craig & Sarah Hosie’s Annvad Daimy’s Princess has already won Best Puppy, Best of Breed & has been a Puppy Group finalist.

Thanks to all the judges - both in the UK & in Holland who have appreciated her many qualities, Elaine Betts & John Sharpe her breeders for allowing me to choose her from the Pines “Irish” litter, which allowed me retain the lines from my original Hovawart “Sheba” - Hofwarth Burlesque & finally to Dave the chauffer who has learnt to drive on the “wrong” side of the road.

Ann Travis - proud owner of Beck - Pines Tipperary - now Dutch Ch Pines Tipperary.
