Breed Notes - 6 Jan 2015
It’s twelve days after Christmas and I have been taking all the decorations down, putting the lights away, looking through all the wonderful cards for the last time, and trying hard not to think about the last year passing quite so quickly!
The newsletter has now been published, if that is the right word now that most have been sent on-line. It was Maggie Spencer’s first, and I suspect that husband Lloyd had a bit of input on the technical side. Anyway, it has a different look to it, with colour featuring in the printing process, and it will be interesting to hear what people think. A publication like the newsletter is a forever evolving and changing thing, but I know how hard it is for the people producing them if they get no input or feedback, so put pen to paper, or rather finger(s) to keyboard and have your say.
Whilst talking about Maggie, I am sure we all wish her the very best as she returns to hospital this coming Friday for her second knee operation. She was very pleased with the first one, so the wish is for a repeat performance. She does have a decent length of time to get mobile again before the obedience season starts in earnest.
The club has been asked if they would help find a new home for a black, two year old (approx) male. Further details on the club web site, but the breeder is unknown, and I don’t think he is the dog for a first time Hovawart owner.
There are still a few calendars left from our reprint, so get in touch if you want one. There are some really good pictures in it, and every date you could want in 2015.
Manchester passes are now available online, and I’m getting quite excited at the prospect of seeing everyone again in ten days or so.
