Breed Notes - 11 Aug 2010
Paington weather was super, but we had a small entry, perhaps understandable for a working weekday. Val Shone repeated her success at National Working, with her boy again getting the nod for BoB from judge Tom Johnston. At least this time he was able to represent the breed in the big ring, although without any tangible result. Liz and Lynne took both reserves. Well done to all concerned. Sadly, Gill Stockton was unable to make it, as her Mother was poorly. All our best wishes go to her for a speedy recovery. Talking of such matters, Lloyd Spencer is now home again following an operation, having lost 3 stone in weight. He is feeling much brighter, and is actually wanting to eat again. Our best wishes go to him, too.
It hardly seems right to talk about the November “Discover Dogs” at Earls Court, but applications for tickets have already been sent, and if anyone would like to help out on the stand, preferably with a dog that will enjoy a lot of constant attention from a lot of “public”, together with the accompanying noise and bustle, do get in touch with me. At the London event, we often find ourselves short on blonds and blacks. The dates are Saturday and Sunday, November 13th & 14th.
