Breed Notes - 26 Jan 2016
This week, some good news, and a great deal of excitement here, as Ann Travis’ lovely black bitch, Annvad Princess Grizelda, has been confirmed in whelp, and her puppies are due in a couple of weeks. The proud father is our slightly bemused Dublin, Junior Jester at Pines, who is wondering quite what all the fuss is about, but happily accepts the praise we keep giving him. It will be very interesting to see what colour combination this litter is, because Dublin is black and gold, as are most of his forebears, but Grizelda has some blondes in her pedigree. In view of the discussion at the IHF meeting in the autumn, it would be really good if we could have a proper mixture of colours in the UK.

Julie is still looking for volunteers to man the club stand at the KC “Discover Dogs” event at Crufts, so if you think you could help, and your dog could put up with a lot (and I mean that!)of petting, do give her a call on 01253 777186. The event is on for all four days of Crufts, and as it is not advisable for the dogs to be “on display” for too long, you would get a chance to look round what is after all the greatest dog show on earth, which is not always easy on the day we are in the ring.
