Breed Notes - 29 Oct 2013
This week there is a real follow-on from last week’s notes…Maggie Spencer returned to the scene of her triumphs at Ardingley this last weekend, and went one better with her youngster, Dollar (Hightimbers Dollar), winning the novice class. I suspect that, unless you are involved in competitive obedience, this won’t sound like too big a deal, but, believe me, it really is. The margins for error are extremely small, a couple of inches in head position can make the difference between first place and nowhere, and you are competing against up to 59 other “teams”, almost all of whom are capable, on their day, of winning the class.
So well done, indeed, Maggie and Dollar!! Onwards and upwards, flying the flag for the Hovawarts. What a way to finish the obedience season, as this was the last event of the year.
