Breed Notes (Our Dogs - Craig Hosie) - 18 Sep 2017
We start off with sad news this week that the breed lost a Hovawart enthusiast Alison Lawson. Alison along with her husband Fred were involved in the show scene and joined the dedicated band of followers from Scotland who travelled the country with their two beloved hovawarts , Pines Galway who was a black boy and Pines Jaguar a black & Gold boy both bred by John & Elaine , they had success in the ring as well as stud duties for Jaguar . Alison was a lovely person, a joy to chat with, caring and funny and we had many a laugh and good chat over coffee at the ring side. She recently had a Annvad Hovawart, a handsome B&G boy. Alison sadly lost her life to cancer , she was far to young to leave us and all our love and thoughts go to her family at this very sad time.

Onto show news , I would like to report on Richmond CH show were classes were scheduled for Hovawarts , so hopefully I will report on this show next week.

Darlington CH show took place at the weekend with nine classes for Dr Paloheimo were BB and BOB was Gill Stockton’s Annvad Lady Hazel with reserve bitch going to Mr & Mrs McLure Kanukalos Burletta with BD going to Janice Robinson and Dave Brown’s Zwartbos Moonshine Whiskey with reserve going to Mark Tyerman’s Fasskoleys Mathan . I believe there has been errors in results recorded at this show on Higham press as I believe there was 2 entries in open bitch with one absentee however it is stated that there was no entries in this class. Well done to all who had attended this show.
